I don't think I can really take credit for any actual work as a beta this time around. I liked it, I'm dying to know what happens next, but I didn't do any grammar or word usage checks on it or anything a beta should do.

*hugs* I'm so glad you are writing again. I like your dangerously conflicted Iruka. Kakashi having breaks with reality? Too much stress, he broke? Just ow. Add to the guilt there for Iruka as he would have to recognize that the home situation hadn't helped.

*hugs back* So am I, so am I. As for Renegade, I'll only say this one thing: Nothing is what it seems. *raise an eyebrow* So far nobody has guessed what is coming -- I suppose it's flattering, in a twisted way.

It is incredibly awesome when I can't predict where a story is going to go. I love it because it keeps me on my toes. Most of the time, I'm afraid I can guess several chapters ahead. The mountain clan/desert clan thing I would never have guessed and yet it explains a lot about your Iruka. He's walking the line between both cultures and cultural identities, no wonder he's conflicted. Of course since you say everyone is wrong then Kakashi must have something completely right or else be feeling the effects of an extremely messy genjutsu or been replaced with a copy cat who is taking advantage of the situation.

The kiddos say hi btw. Maeve with a messy face, Alex with a quick grin, and Vivienne with a poopy diaper. Life is messy at my house. It's a good sort of messy when they aren't mixing it up.

You are amazing. I'm so overwhelmed that I don't even know where to start. The level of detail is fantastic! And I love how all the care you use in explaining about the Tribe just helps to flesh out Iruka's character. Seriously, amazing.
